DMCA Policy

Effective date: April 5, 2026

ShooterBoard (shooterboard.com) respects intellectual property rights and responds to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (“DMCA”), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

This policy explains how to submit a copyright infringement notice and how to submit a counter-notice if you believe content was removed by mistake.


1. Where to Send DMCA Notices

Send all DMCA notices and counter-notices to:

2. Copyright Infringement Notice — What to Include

To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice, you must provide all of the following:

Your contact information:

  • Your full legal name
  • Your email address and phone number
  • Your mailing address

Identification of the copyrighted work:

  • A description of the copyrighted work you believe is being infringed
  • If available, a link to an authorized version of the work or other information that helps identify it

Identification of the infringing material:

  • The exact URL(s) on shooterboard.com where the allegedly infringing material appears
  • Sufficient detail for us to locate the specific content (screenshots are helpful)

Required statements:

  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf

Signature:

  • Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name is acceptable as an electronic signature)

Incomplete notices may not be acted upon. We may contact you to request missing information before taking action.


3. What We Do After Receiving a Valid Notice

After we receive a complete and valid DMCA takedown notice, we may:

  • Remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material
  • Notify the user who posted the material that it has been removed or disabled
  • Request additional information if the notice is incomplete or unclear
  • Record the notice and any actions taken for our records

4. Counter-Notice (If You Believe Content Was Removed by Mistake)

If your content was removed or disabled and you believe this was done due to a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to: info@shooterboard.com

Your counter-notice must include:

  • Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal
  • A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification
  • Your full legal name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or, if your address is outside the United States, for any judicial district in which the service provider may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA notice or their agent
  • Your physical or electronic signature (typing your full legal name is acceptable)

After receiving a valid counter-notice, we may forward it to the original claimant. If the claimant does not file a court action seeking a restraining order against the content provider within 10 business days (as provided by the DMCA), we may restore the removed material.


5. Repeat Infringers

ShooterBoard maintains a policy of terminating the accounts of users who are found to be repeat copyright infringers. We may terminate accounts in appropriate circumstances at our sole discretion, including after receiving multiple valid DMCA notices regarding the same user.


6. Misrepresentation Warning

Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly makes material misrepresentations in a DMCA notice or counter-notice may be liable for damages, including costs and attorneys’ fees.

Do not submit a DMCA notice or counter-notice unless your statements are accurate and made in good faith.


7. Limitations

ShooterBoard is a classifieds and messaging platform. We are not a party to transactions and do not verify the ownership or authenticity of items listed by users. This DMCA Policy applies to claims of copyright infringement in User Content (such as photographs, text, and other media) posted on the Site.
