Prohibited Items Policy
Effective date: April 5, 2026
This page lists items, services, and content that are not allowed on ShooterBoard (shooterboard.com). The goal is simple: keep the platform lawful, safe, and usable for the community.
Important:
- This list is not exhaustive. We may remove any listing that creates unreasonable legal, safety, or fraud risk — even if it is not specifically listed below.
- You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
- If you are unsure whether an item or listing is allowed, err on the side of caution or contact us before posting.

3. Firearms and Weapons — Items Prohibited by Law or High Risk
ShooterBoard does not allow listings that promote, facilitate, or attempt to accomplish unlawful weapon transfers or unlawful weapon modifications.
Prohibited content includes, but is not limited to:
- Items with altered, defaced, removed, or mismatched serial numbers (violation of 18 U.S.C. § 922(k))
- Conversion devices, parts, or kits marketed or intended to convert a semi-automatic firearm to fire automatically (including but not limited to auto sears, lightning links, swift links, and similar devices)

- Unregistered or unlawfully possessed NFA-regulated items, including but not limited to: machine guns, short-barreled rifles (SBRs), short-barreled shotguns (SBSs), silencers/suppressors, destructive devices, and “any other weapons” (AOWs) — unless the item is lawfully registered, the transfer follows all NFA procedures, and the listing clearly states this
- Silencer/suppressor parts, kits, or components marketed or intended to construct an unregistered suppressor
- Forced Reset Triggers (FRTs) or similar devices that are classified as machine guns by ATF rulings, unless the legal status has been clarified and the listing fully complies with applicable law
- 3D-printed firearms or firearm components where the listing violates federal or state law (including but not limited to undetectable firearms under the Undetectable Firearms Act, 18 U.S.C. § 922(p))
- Firearms or components prohibited by specific state or local laws (e.g., items banned in certain states)
- Armor-piercing ammunition as defined under 18 U.S.C. § 921(a)(17), where sale or transfer is restricted
Note: If an item is legal only under specific procedures, permits, tax stamps, or licensed transfer rules, the listing must clearly reflect this, and the transfer must be handled lawfully. If you cannot clearly demonstrate compliance, do not list it.
4. Unlawful Transfers and Bypassing Required Procedures
- Listings that encourage, request, or facilitate transfers to prohibited persons (as defined under 18 U.S.C. § 922(g) and (n))
