Terms of Service

Effective date: April 5, 2026

Welcome to ShooterBoard (shooterboard.com) (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, do not access or use the Site.

1. What the Site Is

ShooterBoard is a community classifieds and messaging platform. It provides a space where users can post listings, browse listings, and communicate with one another.

ShooterBoard is NOT:

  • a seller, buyer, dealer, broker, agent, or auctioneer
  • a party to any transaction between users
  • a payment processor, escrow service, or checkout system
  • a provider of buyer protection, seller guarantees, or transaction insurance

All listings, contacts, meetings, shipments, transfers, and deals happen exclusively between users, at their own risk and under their own responsibility. ShooterBoard functions solely as a connection layer — a modern classified board built on the traditional model of direct user-to-user interaction.

2. Eligibility and Age Requirements

  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use the Site.
  • You must be at least 21 years old where applicable by federal or state law for certain firearms-related transactions.
  • You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Site is lawful in your jurisdiction, including compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • By using the Site, you represent and warrant that you meet the age requirements stated above and that you are not a person prohibited by law from possessing firearms or other regulated items.

3. Lawful Use and Compliance

By using the Site, you agree that you will:

  • comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws at all times
  • post only lawful items and lawful requests
  • follow all Site rules, including the Prohibited Items Policy
  • use a licensed Federal Firearms Licensee (FFL) dealer for any transfer where required by law
  • not use the Site to facilitate, encourage, or participate in any illegal activity

If a law requires a specific procedure — including but not limited to use of a licensed dealer, background check, waiting period, permit, registration, or shipping restriction — it is your sole responsibility to identify and follow that procedure. ShooterBoard does not monitor, verify, or enforce compliance on behalf of users.

4. Accounts and Security

  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must keep your login credentials secure and confidential.
  • You must not create accounts for others, share account access, or impersonate any person or entity.
  • You must not create a new account to evade a suspension, ban, or other enforcement action.
  • We may require email verification and may limit certain features or activity for new accounts.
  • You must promptly notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.

5. Listings and User Content

“User Content” includes listings, descriptions, photographs, messages, profile information, and any other materials you submit to the Site.

You represent and warrant that:

  • you own or have all necessary rights and permissions to post your User Content
  • your User Content is accurate, truthful, and not misleading
  • your User Content does not violate any law, regulation, or third-party rights (including intellectual property, privacy, and publicity rights)
  • your User Content does not contain prohibited items, illegal offers, or content that encourages bypassing legal requirements

License grant: By posting User Content, you grant ShooterBoard a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, display, distribute, and use that content solely to operate, maintain, improve, and promote the Site. This includes creating thumbnails, caching, backups, and displaying content in search results and listings. This license continues for as long as your content remains on the Site and for a reasonable period afterward to allow for removal from backups and caches.

Content removal: We may remove or restrict any User Content at our sole discretion, with or without notice, for any reason, including but not limited to suspected violations of these Terms, the Prohibited Items Policy, or applicable law.

6. Messaging and User Communication

  • The Site may provide internal messaging features to facilitate communication between users.
  • Do not post sensitive personal information in listings or messages, including but not limited to: home addresses, government ID numbers, Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or payment credentials.
  • You are solely responsible for your communications and any decisions you make based on those communications.
  • ShooterBoard does not monitor, mediate, or guarantee the content of private messages between users.

7. Prohibited Conduct

You may not:

  • post Prohibited Items or any content that violates the Prohibited Items Policy
  • commit or facilitate fraud, scams, impersonation, or deceptive practices
  • threaten, harass, stalk, or dox any person
  • post another person’s private information without their consent
  • upload malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt, damage, or gain unauthorized access to the Site or its systems
  • scrape, crawl, or use automated tools (including bots) to access the Site without prior written permission
  • attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent any security features of the Site
  • evade enforcement actions, including creating new accounts to bypass suspensions or bans
  • use the Site for any commercial solicitation, spam, or mass-posting without authorization
  • interfere with or disrupt the Site or the experience of other users

8. Platform Neutrality — No Transaction Involvement

ShooterBoard does not:

  • participate in, facilitate, or guarantee any transaction between users
  • process payments, hold funds, or provide escrow services
  • verify the identity, credentials, licenses, or legal status of any user
  • verify the legality, condition, authenticity, or ownership of any listed item
  • mediate disputes between users
  • provide buyer protection, seller guarantees, refunds, or transaction insurance

All transactions occur entirely between users. ShooterBoard is not a party to any agreement, deal, transfer, or exchange. Users bear full and sole responsibility for the legality, safety, and outcome of every transaction.

9. Moderation and Enforcement

We may, at our sole discretion and without prior notice:

  • remove, restrict, or modify any listing or User Content
  • suspend, limit, or terminate any account
  • limit features, posting frequency, visibility, or messaging privileges
  • preserve records, logs, and communications as we deem necessary

We are not required to monitor the Site or User Content, but we reserve the right to do so. We may take action based on user reports, automated detection, or our own review.

We may cooperate with law enforcement agencies and comply with valid legal requests, subpoenas, or court orders.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect. The invalid provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable while preserving the original intent.
