02

Choose a Category

03

Write Your Description

Include a clear title, item condition, brand, model, and any relevant specs. Be accurate. Misleading listings will be removed. More detail means faster sale.

💡 Include caliber, barrel length, or finish where applicable.
🤖 Not sure what to write? Try the Listing Assistant. Give it your info in any language and it writes the ad in English for you.
04

Upload Photos

05

Set Your Price

Enter your asking price. Be realistic and check comparable listings first. You can mark it as OBO (or best offer) to attract negotiation.

06

Add Contact Info

Provide your preferred contact method: email, phone, or platform messaging. Buyers will reach out to you directly. ShooterBoard is never involved in the deal.

🔒 You control what contact info is visible.
07

Submit and Go Live

Review your listing, confirm it meets all guidelines, then submit. Your ad will be reviewed and published. You will get notified when it goes live.

08

Manage Your Ad

Edit, renew, or delete your listing any time from your account dashboard. Once sold, mark it as completed so buyers know it is gone.

FAQ

Is posting an ad free?

Yes, posting ads on Shooter Board is currently free. There are no listing fees, seller commissions, or transaction charges. Shooter Board is not involved in any sale.

Can I edit my ad after posting?

Yes. Go to My Account → My Listings, find your ad, and click Edit. Save your changes to update the listing. Major changes (category, item type) may require re-review.

ShooterBoard strongly recommends using a licensed FFL dealer for all firearm transfers. How do I contact a seller?

View the listing and use the contact method provided by the seller – email, phone, or the platform’s messaging system. All communication and transaction happens directly between you and the seller. Shooter Board is not involved.

Can I list services, not just items?

Yes. Gunsmithing, repair, and related services can be listed in the appropriate category. Describe the service clearly, include your location, and specify how buyers can reach you.

What are the listing requirements?

You must include a clear title, accurate category, item condition, a realistic price, your location (at minimum city/state), and a working contact method. All items must comply with our Prohibited Items Policy and applicable laws.

Do firearm sales need an FFL dealer?

This depends on your state and the type of firearm. Federal law requires FFL transfers for interstate sales and certain firearm types. Many states also require them for in-state private sales. You are responsible for knowing your local laws.

What happens if someone reports my listing?

Our moderation team will review the report. If your listing violates our policies, it may be removed and you may be contacted. Repeated violations can result in account suspension. If you believe a removal was an error, contact us via the Report Abuse page.
